10 Items to Check Off Your Hoboken {Summer Bucket List}

Summer is finally here this week! Although to many that may mean going on long weekend trips or DTS, there are still many summer activities going on in our Mile Square. To help you, we’ve created a Bucket List of you’re not going to want to miss out on this summer in Hoboken!

1. Watch Fireworks from Pier A on the 4th of July

With 4th of July landing on a Wednesday this year, the odds of being in Hoboken and not at the beach are a little more likely for most of us. But now there is the chance to catch the fireworks from Pier A if you haven’t experienced it before! Be sure to get there early with a blanket to sit on, as many others will be also picking out the best seat on the lawn! Catch Macy’s fireworks over the city, or look over at Jersey City to see their display!

2. Grab Drinks at Pier 13

Pier 13 is a staple when it comes to Hoboken in the summer! Grab some friends for happy hour, or spend Sunday Funday on the Pier, exploring the great eats at the many food trucks or sipping their notorious sangria.

3. Finally Make it to a Free Fitness Class

Odds are, you already know about Hoboken’s offer of free fitness classes Monday – Thursday, but keep finding excuses to not make it. Well, it’s still early, and there are 3 months left to attend these classes! From high intensity workouts, to yoga and meditation, there is something for everyone to take advantage of.

4. Take an Insta-Worthy Sunrise Pic

If waking up and going for a run along the water seems like torture to you, let the sunrise be a little motivation to do it! Every day, the sunrise looks different from the last and makes for some amazing Instagram pics if you catch it at the right time. If you’re not a morning person and can’t workout that early, then grab a coffee and sit on a bench to enjoy the view before heading to work.

5. Free Kayaking at Pier 13

Being right on the Hudson, there are many water activities to try! Kayaking, paddle boarding, and jetskiing can all be found at Pier 13. Take a tour to view the city skyline and other landmarks around, such as the Statue of Liberty, or rent your own kayak for a few hours!

6. Picnic at Pier A

Pier A is a great place to catch some sun when in Hoboken! Bring a blanket and lunch and lay out at the Pier. Play games like Can Jam, or bring a football to throw around, and spend the day with some fresh air while working on your tan!

7. Movies Under the Stars
