Come on Down! {G. Millz Boken Roadhouse} Opening Next Week

After much anticipation, the unique triangle-shaped building at 61 Jackson Street (between Monroe Street and Observer Highway) is finally reopening as G. Millz Boken Roadhouse. Hoboken Happy Hours has learned the space will reopen the last weekend in July. Previously occupied by Jack’s Cabin, the building has been vacant since January 2018. The bar is named after the partnership between Tony Giaquinto and Phil Miller. Friends for years, Tony brings 30+ years of restaurant industry experience, in conjunction with Miller’s construction expertise. G. Millz Boken Roadhouse describes the casual neighborhood feel the owners hope to attract.

G. Millz Boken Roadhouse will reopen as more of a tavern space than restaurant, serving small plates instead of a traditional coursed menu. The team has brought in Chef Elenam, another long-time friend, to create an exciting new menu offering many vegan and gluten-free options. G. Millz Boken Roadhouse has decided to create a menu of small plates to ensure that food comes out quickly, and no customer has to wait too long for great food. We can expect to see items like Henry’s Mini Meatballs (named after Tony’s beloved pup) and Chicken and Waffle Sliders. There will be a brunch menu offered on Saturday and possible buffet-style come Football Sundays. G. Millz Boken Roadhouse will be open for lunch, and you can expect a daily happy hour with food and drink specials, and late night entertainment on the weekends.

G. Millz Boken Roadhouse hopes to offer that authentic neighborhood feel. In addition to adding TVs throughout the L-shaped bar for your sports-viewing pleasure, there will be additional outdoor seating. Shaded tables will be on the north and south sides, and patio lounge space with couches and a trellis will be on the east side. G. Millz will also be offering valet parking, which is unique to Hoboken. The team is looking forward to bringing Hoboken a fun, casual and customer-centric experience that will be sure to bring you back again and again!
