Hoboken’s Newest Mural Nearing Completion {in Photos}

If you’ve walked, jogged, biked, or driven by the corner of 2nd & Clinton over the past week, you’ve probably seen that a badass (and huge) mural is going up on the side of Napoli’s Pizza. Located at 133 Clinton St., the mural is the work of local artist Ricardo Roig. This is Roig’s largest piece to date, checking in at a massive 55 by 26 foot clip. Over 103 spray cans have been used already, with many more to come! The process is really something to behold, as each square printout comes together piece by piece from a giant graphic of Roig’s original work, and is then hand-cut and painted. With help from Garrett Walters, Roig and his team have already made great progress in only a couple days of work, and the results are simply awesome! The piece highlights all that is Hoboken and our amazing Mile Square community.

We’ll continue to update this article with new photos, but below are photos of the progress so far! Be sure to tag @napolishoboken & @hobohappyhours in your best shots of the mural for a chance to be featured!

Painting will continue this Saturday (weather permitting), so be sure to stop by and check it out (and grab a slice or a whole pie)!
