{Urban CoalHouse} Hoboken Debuts its Burger Menu

With a popular brunch burger called the UCH Burger, Urban CoalHouse decided to try its hand at some other burger flavor combos. Their new burger-centric menu, released January 3rd, features four burgers, some starters and cocktails to go with them. Oh, and did I mention that all of the burgers are made with double patties of grass-fed ground beef? It’s a game-changer.

Urban Coalhouse Cocktails

If you’re a fan of sipping something sweet, try out the Upsidedown or the Sugar Fig Cosmo. With bourbon, Disaronno (an almond-flavored liquor) and pineapple juice, the Upsidedown expertly mixes warm winter flavors and a taste of the islands. The Sugar Fig Cosmo uses Figenza fig vodka, St-Germain (an elderflower liquor), lime and cranberry to elevate your basic cosmo.

Urban Coalhouse Drink

The Boulevardier is an underrated classic cocktail. It’s a negroni for whiskey-lovers, and this one is made with Journeyman Featherman Rye, Aperol and sweet vermouth.

Urban Coalhouse burger

Urban’s take on a burger and a shake comes in the form of The Yard. This glass of deliciousness tasted like alcoholic chocolate milk, featuring the flavors of Jameson, mocha liquor, creme de cacao, creme and godiva chocolate liqueur. It’s pictured here with the Shroom and Gruyere burger, topped with a generous amount of sautéed mushrooms, caramelized onions, truffle oil, and gruyere. It’s served on an onion bun, which really seals the deal for this meal.

Urban Sriracha burger

The Sriracha Burger piles white cheddar, cherry peppers, and creamy sriracha sauce on a brioche bun. The bun balances the heat of the sauce and the white cheddar adds to the dimension of the flavor profile.

Urban CoalHouse Gorgonzola Burger

For a kick of a different kind, try the Gorgonzola Burger. Topped with arugula, caramelized onions and gorgonzola crumbles, a bite of this burger hits with a pow.

UCH Burger Urban Coalhouse

Last but not least, the burger that started it all. The UCH Burger combines bacon, avocado, white cheddar, and Urban CoalHouse sauce for my ideal burger. CoalHouse sauce is a house-made barbecue, and it really makes this burger sing.

Urban Coalhouse fries

While the burgers are the stars of this menu, the meal wouldn’t be complete without a side of fries. And these fries really hit home for me. They’re more than your basic french fry. Called “Pepper Crack Fries” these babies are fried with salt and pepper so the seasoning is cooked into them, and then they’re topped with S&P as well.
